ABOUT US

Sheriffmuir Farm is owned and operated by Katie and Stephen Rines, two very dedicated horse people and knowledgeable farm owners who live on-site. Both owners and staff are continually committed to the health and happiness of our horses and boarders. The on-site trainer is Juliane Dykiel, a USDF Gold Medalist. 

FACILITIES

The barn is staffed from 7 am to 9 pm daily.​ Amenities include:

  • 13 stalls (3 of them are run-outs off the main barn)

  • 1 quarantine stall off barn

  • 5 sheds with attached paddock (for horses who prefer to live outside 24/7)

  • Every day and all day turnout including grass paddocks, dry lots, and extended turnout in the summer from 7:30am to 6:30pm​

  • Agricultural fans

  • Nelson (heated) automatic waterers with consumption meters in every stall and in 5 outdoor paddocks 

  • During winter, every paddock has a heated water source (no frozen water)!

  • Overhead aisle fans

  • ​Trailer parking for additional fee

  • Climate controlled tack room with client lockers and viewing area of indoor arena as well as microwave and refrigerator

  • Wash stall with hot and cold water

  • Climate controlled bathroom for boarders 

  • Indoor arena with lots of natural light/ventilation, an overhead watering system, sand/rubber mix footing (10 tons of rubber), LED lighting and mirrors

  • Fenced outdoor arena with new footing as of 2022​​​​

  • USDF recognized trainers on site 

  • Trails to conservation area and to orchards directly connected to the property

  • ​Night surveillance system with fire protection/temperature alerts 

  • Owners live on property 24/7
